Lazy Days
Lucy the bobcat couldn't be bothered with much today, other than lounging on her favorite swing and enjoying the fresh air. She likes it when it is overcast with a slight breezr blowing through her fur.

Genets get new habitat!
Genets Kanu and Gigi moved into a larger habitat today, and Kanu wasted no time exploring every inch of it. Gigi who is a bit more shy by nature, checked out all of the hiding spots in the enclosuer before choosing the long pipe as her favorite spot! Kanu decided on top of the pipe was his new favorite perch!

Karma
We are so happy to welcome Karma to our family. Karma is about 3 months old and came to us from another state. Around the age of 8 weeks old, she was hit by a car and suffered damage to her face, causing the loss of one eye and blindness in the other. Due to the head trauma, she has infrequent seizures, but enough to cause her to be on medication daily. Hopefully, she will grow out of those as she grows and heals. The medication for Karma is expensive and your donations are greatly needed to help this little beauty. She will not only be a great animal ambassador for her species, but her fantastic attitude can help show children that a handicap can't keep you down!

Native Wildlife
Not all animals that are orphaned, injured or abandoned can be released back into the wild. When that happens, facilities like Zooville can give permanent refuge to these awesome animals. They are the best voice for protecting our native wildlife and wildlife habitats. Here is one of the animals that can be found here in Florida! This is "Rey" - short for Reynard - our beautiful red fox.
